ABOUT BECL

The Board of Engineers Cambodia Laboratory (BECL) is an agency and laboratory cooperation between the Board of Engineers, Cambodia (BEC) and CAST Laboratories (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.

As Cambodia’s construction sector start to experience strong growth in the recent years, the number of construction projects have drastically increased. Thus there is an arising need to ensure the structural integrity of these new building and infrastructure, as well as existing buildings and structures to safeguard the emphasize the importance of safety standards.

Under the direction of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and through the Ministry of Economy and Finance & Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, the setting up of Board of Engineers Cambodia Laboratory (BECL) was approved and is to be guided by the Board of Engineers, Cambodia (BEC).

While BEC is tasked to establish, approve and manage standards for all building & construction in Cambodia, BECL is set up to facilitate the quality testing and control aspects of this mission.

BECL provides testing, inspection, certification and evaluation services for the building and construction sector in Cambodia.

To face this challenge, BECL has committed itself towards providing independent testing, inspection, certification and evaluation services that meet local and international standards.
